The Beauty Drop: Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes

An eyeshadow palette is one of the items in your beauty bag that has the power to make a dramatic difference to your look with just the touch of a brush. Whether it’s subtle shading for office hours or a pop of colour for off-duty drama, a selection of colours to play with is a must in your makeup collection. Of course they don’t have to cost the earth – and a good budget brand will give you plenty of bang for your buck.

Sleek MakeUP hasn’t been on Irish shores all that long but it already boasts a loyal and loving following. Fans have praised the pigment of their products in particular, which bodes well for the latest launch! We’re huge fans of their Face Form contouring palettes too. And it seems we’re in good company, as Eva Longoria is said to be another devotee.

The Beauty Break-though

Less of a breakthrough on this one, but more of an addition to an already beloved range. Sleek MakeUP’s i-Divine palettes are 12 shades of super-pigmented, long-lasting, mineral based eyeshadow. Each i-Divine contains pearlescent shades, which contain mica particles that highlight and illuminate giving an overall radiant effect. The latest two drops to the line are Arabian Nights Smoke and Shadows and Del Mar Volume II.

Arabian Nights, in case the name didn’t give it away, is dark and mysterious. From Gold Souk to Sinbad’s Seas, you’ll find everything you need for a dramatic smoky eye with gold and green pops. We especially love the bronzed metallic Genie and the striking green Hocus Pocus.

Del Mar II is all about the Balearic beats and wallflowers need not apply. Clubbers will love the bright yellows and sea greens, but you’ll also find some more subtle shades in there if you don’t want to go all out at all times.

We Say: You can’t really argue with that. More than a few Sleek MakeUP products have entered our all time Hall of Beauty fame since our introduction to the brand. A colourful palette may not be on that list straight away, but there’s no doubt it’s a cheap as chips way to play with lots of colours and looks for day and night.
