We can’t help but laugh.
Skyler Davis is like many 17 year olds. She’s sensitive and caring and enjoys getting dolled up for a BNO (big night out).
Last Thursday was tan Thursday, and Skyler decided to head off to Bella Via Day Spa to get sprayed up for the biggest of the BNO’s – her senior prom.
It was Skyler’s first ever spray tan and one of the beauticians looked after her. Talking to Buzzfeed news Skyler said:
“When she left everything was good,” she said.
“I was extremely happy with how it turned out. I was no longer pale!”
But a mere ten minutes after leaving the salon, Skyler found herself arguing with her a boyfriend. Maybe it was the pressure of pre prom preparation or maybe it was the argument, but Skyler ended up having a good cry.
The result was utter disaster.
“As soon as my tears started coming, I saw I had no tissues in my car and knew I was doomed,” she said. “All of a sudden there were white streaks on my once-tan face. Looking in the mirror, I only began to cry more, and there was absolutely nothing I could do but let the tears roll down my face and completely ruin my spray tan.”
Luckily Skyler and her boyfriend patched things up before prom.
The tan however required a bit more work.
Skyler explains that she had to wash off the tan completely and head back to the salon the following day and explain what happened.
The beautician fixed it up remarkably well and everything turned out okay.
Looking back on the image and laughing, Skyler was convinced to share it on Imgur. In two days the picture has gone massively viral and amassed over 3 million hits.
Let it be a warning children – don’t tan up and tear up.
