We've heard our fair share of peculiar remedies and beauty rituals from every corner of the globe in our time, but this lady is serious when it comes to unwanted facial lines. Very serious. In a bid to avoid unwanted wrinkles, British woman Tess Christian decided she would forfeit smiling. The 50-year-old still enjoys humour she just isn’t very expressive about it. In an interview with The Daily Mail, Tess revealed that she taught herself to relax her facial muscles to ensure she kept her youthful appearance. Almost four decades later, she maintains her efforts have paid off. "I don’t have wrinkles because I have trained myself to control my facial muscles", she explained. "Everyone asks if I’ve had Botox, but I haven’t, and I know that it’s thanks to the fact I haven’t laughed or smiled since I was a teenager. My dedication has paid off, I don’t have a single line on my face". Tess accepts that she is vain and believes that her 'strategy' is much more effective than any pricey procedure. "Yes, I am vain and want to remain youthful. My strategy is more natural than Botox and more effective than any expensive beauty cream or facial", she added.
