The highly-anticipated debut novel is due to hit shelves in November this year and it’s gone right to the top of our ‘to read’ list.
Set in Shanghai in 1926, the novel follows 18-year-old former flapper Juliette Cai, who returns to assume her role as the heir of the Scarlet Gang, a network of criminal who are far above the law.
Their only rivals in power? The White Flowers, with whom they have been feuding for generations.
Behind every move of the White Flowers is their heir Roma Montagov, Juliette’s first love and her first betrayal.
