We’ve heard of trying to sweeten the deal, but one Russian bank has a new approach to signing on new mortgage customers.
Sberbank, one of Russia’s largest banks, are throwing in a cat with each purchase and allowing customers to choose from one of 10 breeds of feline which will be delivered when the home occupier moves in.
So what’s the catch?
You won’t be able to keep the cat. In Russia, cats entering the house ahead of the new owners is a sign of good luck.
The new homeowner will get a two hour session with the cat for photographs and housewarming bonding time before having to hand the feline back.
It’s definitely one way to stand out from the banking crowd.
Even if you're a dog lover, you have to admire the innovation...
