Advertising is a highly competitive, creative and fast-paced industry.
It's a well-known fact that it is harder for women to achieve their career goals in comparison to men, and face more obstacles in terms of promotions, wage equality and fairer childcare options.
TWBA are a global advertising network based in New York who released a powerful video of their male staff giving voices to quotes sent in anonymously by women working in advertising, spotted on AdWeek.
The statements bring up injustices faced by women in advertising and in the working world, in general including being seen as a 'bitch' in order to get stuff done, the worry that having children will damage your career, and being told to attend a meeting to look 'pretty'.
The video, entitled A Pledge For Parity, is part of a larger campaign by the agency called Project 2020, which launched last summer with the goal of increasing women in leadership roles across the TBWA network by 20 percent before the year 2020.
