Step away from the slippers.
The age old saying ‘home is where the heart is’ rings true for many. For me though, home is actually better described as; ‘where the pyjamas are’. The MOMENT I enter my house I’m in my cosies. It’s actually quite a thing to behold, think ‘Bruce Almighty’ with the prospect of sex coming his way… it’s that fast.
As comfort is paramount in my house and it’s strictly a no bra zone, it probably doesn’t surprise you that I’ve always struggled to understand those who ‘work from home’.
Clearly, you need to be committed to the cause, but I’ve never quite grasped the notion of people who are capable of concentrating without an accidental viewing of a full season of Gossip Girl slipping through.
Lucky for my current and past employers, I’ve also never been in a job where working from home was expected, so how do these superheroes actually get sh*t done?
It was one of the first things we asked our guest this week on #GirlsWithGoals. Jen Morris, or ‘Too Dolly Makeup‘ as she’s known to her 27k+ following, is a self-proclaimed ‘beauty addict’ she also happens to be killing it in the realm of beauty blogging.
As a blogger, her videos are easy to follow, she’s always trying looks that push the boundaries and perhaps the reason why she’s up there as one of our favourites at the moment… she’s 100% relatable.
Yes, sometimes she messes up and sticks the brush in her eye, because she’s human and makeup is HARD .
Ok, what do we know so far? This woman is fiercely talented and she can carry off a cobalt colour better than most of us, so what about the business of beauty? How rigid and demanding is the day to day schedule of being a blogger?
