“It breaks my heart every single day to be without her.”
Footballer Ashley Cain has paid a beautiful tribute to his daughter Azaylia on what would have been her first birthday.
Taking to his stories, Ashley wrote: “Going to bed with a heavy heart tonight as it’s my beautiful babies 1st birthday tomorrow.
“I could’ve never imagined things would’ve turned out this way and it breaks my heart every single day to be without her.
“Azaylia meant everything and more to me and she truthfully not only made my life, but saved my life. She will forever be my baby girl, my angel and my hero and I will always stand by being the best daddy to her I can be.
“I love you Champ.”
Ashley then shared a precious snap of baby Azaylia sleeping soundly and wrote: “Goodnight baby, Daddy loves you to the stars and back.”

Azaylia’s mum Safiyya Vorajee took to Instagram stories to pay tribute to her daughter.
She wrote: “This time last year I was in hospital in labour. Azaylia was born at 06:56. The best day of my life. ONE TODAY & one big star.
“My heart is in pieces a year later. Today is going to be incredibly tough.”
She then shared a picture of Azaylia as a newborn and wrote: “This exact time last year was the best time of my life! I had just gave birth to the most incredible little girl. Happy birthday. Your 1 Today baby.
“Azaylia Diamond Cain Dance in the sky baby let’s make some extra magic today. World lions day!”
The mum then told her followers that she got up early to mark the birthday.
She said: “It’s not easy, my heart just feels a million different things. But today is Azaylia’s birthday. Today is World Lion’s Day. Today we’re going to celebrate our champ.
“Happy birthday Azaylia. Dance in heaven baby.”
