Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger ‘refused to live together’ until they got engaged

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger apparently “refused to live together” until they got engaged.

The pair announced that they are planning to marry earlier today in a post shared by Pratt on his Instagram.

He wrote that he was “thrilled” that the author and blogger said yes, adding that he is excited “to live boldly in faith with you.”

The pair have been dating for seven months, but weren’t living together until after they got engaged due to their “strict religious beliefs.”

The Sun reports that moving in with Pratt wouldn’t have been on Schwarzenegger’s radar if they hadn’t been getting married.

A source told the publication:

“They’re both very devout – that’s one of the reasons their relationship works so well – and are very committed to their faith.

“Some of their early dates were even at church – so Katherine would have refused to live with him until they made the commitment to getting married.”

They added that the Guardians of the Galaxy star had “prayed” before asking his now-fiancee to marry him.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger were first spotted together last summer while out with the actor’s son, Jack.

The pair had also been seen attending church together prior to this.

29-year-old Schwarzenegger is the daughter of actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and American journalist Maria Shriver.

Her family had their “fingers crossed” that their daughter’s relationship with Pratt was going to “work out long term.”
