Meghan is set to marry Prince Harry on May 19.
The pair announced their engagement on November 27 last year after months of speculation surrounding their relationship.
Before this they had been dating for about 16 months.
It was previously reported by The Sun that Thomas and Meghan were close but friends of the Suits actress and her step-brother have since refuted this saying that the pair have not been in contact for some time.
The 51-year-old window fitter was arrested early last year for allegedly pointing a gun to his girlfriend's head during an argument.
He later said he was sorry and was "seeking help."
Meghan's estranged sister Samantha has also spoken openly about her disappointment around Meghan's apparent lack of contact with her family.
