Meghan Markle’s half-brother has said that he is hurt that he wasn’t invited to the royal wedding.
Thomas Markle Jnr has claimed that the soon-to-be royal has “forgotten her flesh and blood” by deciding not to invite some of her family members to her wedding.
He told the Mirror:
“I’m not bitter, just baffled. It’s hurtful given how close we once were.
“I’m confused and a little distraught because here is a person knowing the position she’s in and knowing the scrutiny she’s under and yet she has forgotten her flesh and blood.”
Meghan is set to marry Prince Harry on May 19.
The pair announced their engagement on November 27 last year after months of speculation surrounding their relationship.
Before this they had been dating for about 16 months.
It was previously reported by The Sun that Thomas and Meghan were close but friends of the Suits actress and her step-brother have since refuted this saying that the pair have not been in contact for some time.
The 51-year-old window fitter was arrested early last year for allegedly pointing a gun to his girlfriend’s head during an argument.
He later said he was sorry and was “seeking help.”
Meghan’s estranged sister Samantha has also spoken openly about her disappointment around Meghan’s apparent lack of contact with her family.
She recently told Prince Harry to “man up” stating that inviting Meghan’s entire family to the wedding was the “morally right thing” to do.
