Miley Cyrus appeared on
The Ellen Show this week and unsurprisingly, the conversation turned to her beau Liam Hemsworth and their engagement.
The singer and actress has been spotted minus her sparkler a few times and rumours have been flying about the reason why she goes without it.
It seems that the Neil Lane ring, cushion-cut, 18 karat gold and diamond floral motifs FYI, isn't exactly in keeping with Miley's "aesthetic".
While some were of the opinion that Miley not wearing the ring constantly was a sign that the couple's relationship was on the rocks, that's not actually the case.
When chatting to Ellen,
The Voice mentor assured everyone that she and Liam are very much on but sometimes she likes to mix up her style, which means leaving the ring off.
Her day to day jewellery is "like gummy bears and cotton candy" so sometimes she replaces the ring with the odd "unicorn or Looney Tune" and then Liam questions where the ring has disappeared to.
Her explanation is pretty simple to be fair, simply saying:
"Well this isn't really my aesthetic, but I'll wear it because you love me.".
