Prince William had a dangerous hobby when he was young, and it terrified the Queen
We don't blame her.
While they may be rich and famous, the British royal family aren't so different to normal families in many ways.
Certain things are just the same, no matter where you're brought up.
For example, Prince William had a pretty dangerous hobby as a younger man, and it scared his family.
Prince William, along with his brother, has been an avid biker for years.
In the past, Prince William has opened up about his love of bikes, saying:
"I don't know what it is about bikes, but I've always had a passion for motorbikes ever since I was very small."
"I used to do a lot of go-karting when I was younger and then after that I went on to quad bikes and eventually motorbikes."
"It does help being anonymous with my motorcycle helmet on because it does enable me to relax but I just enjoy everything about motorbikes and the camaraderie that comes with it."
And according to the documentary Chasing the Royals, the dangerous activity used to scare his family, especially his grandmother.
Royal photographer James Whitaker gave some insight into Prince William's dangerous hobby.
“I think it frightens the life out of people at Buckingham Palace and almost certainly, the Queen too."
“It is a strange thing."
“His mother was constantly fleeing from the paparazzi, who were on motorbikes."
"Now her son is using a motorbike for the same sort of reasons.”
But a few years ago, Prince William gave up his biking ways, for the sake of his lovely children.
Dring a visit to the Isle of Man TT Race in 2018, William said: "I’m a father of three, I have to tone it down."
"I miss the big trips, for me biking was always about being with everybody else."
