It falls at a bad time.

It looks like Prince Louis’ first birthday celebrations might happen earlier than expected.

The youngest of the Cambridge family is set to turn one-years-old next Wednesday, April 23, however, due to bad timing it doesn’t look like the royal tot will be having his birthday celebrations on that day.

April 23 is the day that both Prince George and Princess Charlotte will return to school and nursery and so, it is believed Prince Louis’ birthday celebrations will occur in Norfolk this weekend.

The royal family has spent the past week in Norfolk enjoying their Easter break alongside the Tindall family.

Staying at the residence they own at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate, Anmer Hall, the royals have been taking some much needed time out to focus on family time during the children’s break.

Next Wednesday, Prince George is expected to return to Thomas’ in Battersea while Princess Charlotte will complete her final term in Willcocks Nursey before joining her brother in school.

Prince William also has a busy schedule lined up as his youngest turns one and his other two children return to school – the royal is expected in New Zealand on April 25 and so, will be travelling just after his son’s birthday.

It is rumoured that Prince Louis’ birthday celebrations might occur on Easter Sunday, as the children took part in an egg hunt on that day last year. So, it could all nicely coincide with his birthday party.

And as Prince Louis is set to turn one, we wait on the arrival of the newest royal, with Meghan Markle due to give birth late April/ early May – the countdown is on.
