Actress Rebel Wilson has opened up about the meaning behind her baby girl’s name.
The Pitch Perfect star became a mum for the first time this month. Rebel’s daughter was born this past week via surrogacy.
The doting mum posted an adorable photo of her daughter on Instagram to share the news. She revealed her little girl is called Royce Lillian.
Rebel has now opened up about why she picked the unusual name.
Speaking to People, the actress said she wanted her daughter to have a name starting with R, just like her.
She told the publication;
“I wanted an original name starting with the letter R and so eventually landed on that one.
“Lillian and Elizabeth are both family names carried by women in my family who I admire.”

Rebel’s middle name is also Elizabeth.
Earlier this week, the actress announced the arrival of her daughter.
She praised her surrogate for making her wish come true.
“Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate.
“I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle!”
Rebel said she has always wanted to be a mother.
“This has been years in the making,” she shared.
“I particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care.”
“Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!”
Rebel added, “I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.”
