The Queen made a VERY harsh comment about Kate Middleton when she first met her

Apparently, the Queen made a surprising remark about Kate Middleton when they first met.

Kate Middleton and Prince William first met in 2001 and according to reports, it’s said that Queen Elizabeth II felt Kate wasn’t keeping herself busy enough at this time.

Of course, it is wise to remember that this is all speculation and these reports have not been officially confirmed but the royal rumour mill is spinning nonetheless.

One royal expert shared this information recently and of course, it’s received a major reaction from the royal family’s many fans.

Journalist, Phil Dampier, has been writing about the family for 26 years and recently made the surprising revelation.

According to The Express, he said:

“Kate was William’s girlfriend for eight or nine years before they got engaged and got married”.

“There was a phase where she appeared to be doing very little really”.

What he said next though is the really cutting bit and somehow, we doubt Kate was overjoyed.

“The Queen once remarked Kate doesn’t do very much so I think she had a fairly long entrance to the royal family”.

“Doesn’t do very much”…it doesn’t get worse than that does it?

Despite the difficult start, Kate Middleton has more than settled into her role as the Duchess of Cambridge and appears to have taken to royal life like a duck to water.

Kate and William welcomed their third child in April of this year and every time, we see them they look happier than ever.
