An Irish-language sports romance inspired by Heated Rivalry is set to air on TG4.
The new Irish-language short film, entitled Ár gCluiche Féin (Our Own Game), will centre around a pair of GAA players struggling with their romantic feelings for one another.
The project was inspired by the Canadian LGBTQ+ show Heated Rivalry, a sports romance series following Major League hockey stars Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.
Bound by ambition, rivalry, and an undeniable attraction neither fully understands, the series has become an international success and cultural talking point.
Ár gCluiche Féin, which has a female-led creative team, is set to make its festival debut at the FilmPride Festival in Brighton on Valentine's Day.
Exciting!
