“I want to be mummy” – Sam Smith talks kids.

Sam Smith has said they would love to start a family soon. While speaking to Zane Lowe recently, the singer was very honest about their plans to have kids.

In fact the singer admitted to wanting to start a family before the age of 35, giving the 28-year-old a few years yet to start planning.

While speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s flagship show, Sam revealed: “I want kids. I want all of it.”

“I want to be with the kids and I want to watch them grow and be with them every day. I want to be mummy.”

Although the British singer plans to have kids one day, they say they’re not completely done with their career just yet. “I’m definitely going to do that at some point, but I’ve still got more in me,” they said. “I’ve still got ambition.”

Sam told Zane: “I’m ambitious and I would still want to sing to people and do this job. It’s an amazing feeling.”

The 28-year-old also opened up to the host about their love life, and how it hasn’t been easy finding a boyfriend.

“I’m going to work my ass off until then [and] hopefully find a boyfriend — but they’re absolutely nowhere to be found anywhere in London,” they said.

“I’ve been searching all over the place. Honestly, I’ve been on the frontline now for a good three years and it’s exhausting.”

Sam also spoke about fame and how they’ve coped with their star status since becoming a household name.

“I wouldn’t say that I love fame. Fame means I can get certain messages across, which is a wonderful thing, but it’s very invasive,” they said.

“I was 21 when fame happened and my whole world changed. I didn’t realise how much of a homebody I was and how much I loved my privacy. You can’t go back.”
