Ant McPartlin gives Holly Willoughby his ‘blessing’ to take over I’m A Celeb this year

Ant McPartlin has given Holly Willoughby his "blessing" to take over this year's series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here. 

The This Morning presenter was "100 percent confirmed" to replace Ant on the reality show earlier this week. Ant is taking an extended break from TV following his drink drinking charge earlier this year. The presenter was fined over £80,000 after being arrested for driving under the influence. He also had his license revoked for 20 months. The Mirror reports that Holly was only happy to take over Ant's role because he had given her his "blessing." A source told the publication:

“Because of her genuine friendship with Dec they are very natural together.

“Ant is pleased that it will be a friend like Holly stepping into his shoes even though he knows that not being there himself will be hard. Having Ant’s blessing meant an awful lot to Holly.”

Holly is expected to travel to Australia for the show with her three children, Belle, Chester, and Harry. It is understood that her husband Dan Baldwin will be there for a period of time too.
