And a premiere date has FINALLY been revealed, too.
Author Neil Gaiman has announced that Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining Amazon's adaptation of
Good Omens - and in a pretty unexpected role.
Gaiman, who also directed the series, revealed the casting news during Amazon's
Good Omens panel at the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday, according to
Variety.
The actor will be joining
Mad Men's Jon Hamm, who will be playing the Archangel Gabriel; and Michael Sheen and David Tennant, who will playing Aziraphale and Crowley.
As for who Cumberbatch will actually be playing?
Gaiman confirmed the
Sherlock star will be playing a "giant, animated Satan" who appears "400-foot high."

The author added that the reason behind the mammoth casting was because they had already cast France McDormand as God, so they wanted someone who could "give [her] a run for her money".
The six-part series will kick off in the US on
May 31, but fans will have to wait until the
very last episode to see Cumberbatch's interpretation of a giant Satan.
The series is based on the best-selling novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

It follows the story of Aziraphale, an angel, and Crowley, a demon, who have formed an unlikely friendship spanning 6,000 years and have grown fond of life on earth.
However, the end of time grows near with the approaching Armageddon and they must now join forces to find a way to save the world.
