Ready to get your head in the game?

Time to buckle up, Wildcats – the first trailer for the all-new version of High School Musical is here.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (yes, that is really what it’s called) is set as the real-life East High, where the original movie was filmed, follows a group of students as they countdown to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of High School Musical.

With meta references and some docu-style elements, it’s a modern take on the ‘classic’ from 15 years ago.

Showmances blossom; friendships are tested, while new ones are made; rivalries flare; songs are sung; and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.

You can check out the trailer below.

The 10-episode series will launch on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+ on November 12.

The service will only be available in the United States at first, with no word just yet on when it will reach Ireland.

Among all the other additions launching on the service is the live-action adaptation of Lady and the Tramp.

The movie tells the story of a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark who on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home.

The trailer introduces us to Lady, the lovable Cocker Spaniel who is living a pretty good life with her owner, Darling Dear.

But when Darling and her husband welcome a baby, their life changes drastically – and, through a series of mishaps, Lady ends up on the street in the company of Schnauzer mutt Tramp.

And, of course, it includes that moment with spaghetti.
