Call the Midwife has long been one of the most popular BBC drama series, but it's a show that never fails to leave us feeling heartbroken.
The emotional drama series has been running since 2012, with Emerald Fennell, Miranda Hart, and Erin Doherty all starring in the show.
The stars have become household names, including actress Helen George, who is best known for playing Trixie.
Trixie has been part of the show from the very beginning, but fans fear she may be leaving the series when season 15 comes to an end.
In the most recent episode of Call the Midwife, Trixie reveals she's leaving Nonnatus House and is planning on working at The Lady Emily Clinic for Women and Babies.
With Nonnatus House's future in jeopardy, the midwife realises it's time for a change, and accepts an offer of Matron at the clinic.
Fans are hopeful that Sister Julienne will find a way to keep Nonnatus House open, as they have many times in the past. However, seeing Trixie leave Nonnatus House after all these years will be a heartbreaking watch.
There has been no confirmation that Helen George is leaving the show, so we remain hopeful that she will remain on the show for many years.
The BBC previously revealed that Call the Midwife will continue, and a 16th season has been confirmed, but we may be waiting quite some time for it to air.
The show usually returns in January, but series creator Heidi Thomas said they're busy filming a movie, as well as the prequel series, so we could be waiting some time for season 16.
Thomas told Yours:
"We going to do a film that involves most of the current cast, set in 1972, possibly 1973. We're going to do that first, then we'll return to the current style. Series 16 will have a slightly different setting because of changes in the NHS.
She added, "It'll still be in the East End of London but possibly something like a small community hospital or a GP practice, but that's something I'll be working on later this year."
