Fans of hit TV programme Friends will need to tune into Channel 4 in 2016 as one of our favourites, David Schwimmer, is set to make a return to our screens in a brand new sitcom.

The show will hit our screens in 2016.

The popular actor will reportedly feature in Morning Has Broken, a six-episode comedy by Julia Davis.

He will play an American TV producer who has been hired to come to the rescue of a breakfast show that is failing rapidly.

David Schwimmer in Friends He is easily the most attractive paleontologist on television. Unlike his onscreen friends, we'd be able to listen to (and look at) him all day.

Speaking about the show, Channel 4’s Rachel Springett stated: “Julia is undoubtedly one of our most talented comedic writers and actresses and it’s a testament to the quality of her writing that she can attract such a big star.”

The new programme will hit our screens in 2016.
