Congratulations are in order as Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali are expecting their first child together, according to reports. A source close to the couple says the pair are “delighted to be expecting – especially since they have been trying for some time”. “They have both always wanted a family but worried that it might not happen for them,” the source told The Sun. “They have been keeping the pregnancy a closely guarded secret, but now that Ali is safely over 12 weeks, they are starting to let people know.” Reports suggest that Ali became pregnant not long after Dec finished filming I’m A Celebrity in December. The news comes just after the confirmation that Dec’s longtime hosting partner, Ant McPartlin, will be heading back into rehab after being arrested for drink-driving last week. Leaving the fate of many of their shows uncertain for now, Dec formally announced that he would be hosting the final two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway alone for the first time ever. “This has come at a difficult time for them both, given everything that Ant is now going through and the pressure that has put on Dec in the past week. “But their priority now is their baby and an experience that they see as the best of their lives." Ali, 40, is reportedly wanting to take time away from work to “look after herself” and enjoy an “easy pregnancy”.
