Hallelujah! It looks like we're getting a NEW Sister Act movie
Oh happy days, oh happy days, oooooooh happy days...
It looks like a third Sister Act movie is finally in the making and if you can't tell already, we're bloody ecstatic!
It has been 25 years since the last Sister Act so, it's safe to say the wait hasn't been easy but now, it's almost over.
The 1992 original film was centred on Whoopi Goldberg's character, who was forced to join a convent after she was placed in a witness protection programme. A movie which quickly grew to become a cult classic and earned Whoopi a Golden Globe as well as generating $232 million in sales worldwide.
And now, speaking to Good Morning Britain, Whoopi confirmed the news of Sister Act 3.
"We've been all over Disney begging. They've decided that they're going to go in a different direction with Sister Act. So it won't be Sister Act 3 it will be a brand new rendition of Sister Act, and I guess I'll walk through a scene and that's how they'll say I was part of it," Whoopi revealed.
But, if you were hoping for all the original cast back on our screens again, you might be dissapointed. It appears Whoopi is only going to make a cameo appearance. Hmmm.
Well, as long as it has banging tunes and a stellar cast like the first movie, we expect it will be incredible.
