The Harry and Meghan movie aired last night and it was just glorious

We have to wait until Saturday for the real deal… but in the interim, we have the movie.

Yes, Harry And Meghan: A Royal Romance aired in the US last night and the feedback was immense.

With just under a week to go until the big day and royal wedding excitement at all-time high, the Lifetime movie about Harry and Meghan’s relationship came just at the right time for royal enthusiasts.

The highly anticipated movie aired in the US last night and is due to air for the first time in the UK tonight, and if the reaction to last night’s screening is anything to go by we’re in for a treat.

OK, so while not all feedback was positive with many harping on about how “cheesy” the movie is, it is a Lifetime movie about a Prince falling in love – what would you expect?

Facing criticism was the expectedly soppy production, a CGI lion which weirdly seemed to symbolise Princess Diana and Prince William and Kate Middleton’s characters.

Yes, the actors who portrayed the royal couple faced a lot of backlash with viewers, with many suggesting that the producers on the movie painted the couple as cold and their relationship strained.

Viewers felt that the pair came across as mean and all-in-all, missed the spot entirely with the audience.

However, pretty much everyone was happy with the casting for future royal Meghan Markle.

Yes, actress Parisa Fitz-Henley hit the spot with the majority of the audience and received huge praise from many online for it while others felt the performance a little over the top – but again, it’s a Lifetime movie, hello?

As always, Twitter was alight with commentary and it has us buzzing to sit down and watch it tonight.

From steamy love scenes to the big proposal, they didn’t hold back and we’re glad they didn’t

So, bad it’s good, or just plain bad? Catch the movie tonight on Lifetime UK at 9pm and decide for yourself.
