The original Sabrina cast had the BEST reaction to the new Netflix series

The first look at the darker Sabrina The Teenage Witch reboot is here and it’s just as bewitching as we hoped.

And it turns out some very familiar faces will be returning.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the creator of Riverdale, recently shared a page of what appeared to be a script on social media.

So, of course, people zoomed in so they could find out what exactly was going on.

The page teases the return of Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina’s high school boyfriend from the original series, as well as a big change for their relationship: she shares her magical secret with him straight away.

She says:

“I… wanted you to see where I was born, Harvey.

“Not in Greendale General, like it says on my birth certificate.

“Here. In this grove of trees. Almost 16 years ago. And, uhm, where I’ll be reborn this Saturday night. On my birthday. At the stroke of midnight. In the middle of a penumbral lunar eclipse. The kind that only happens once every 66 years.

“That’s why I can’t go to Rosalind’s Halloween party this weekend.”

The highly anticipated Sabrina reboot is already heading in a much darker direction, similar to the way Riverdale did during its premiere season last year.

And it turns out it could be hitting the small screen a lot sooner than we though.

Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater reportedly confirmed at New York Comic Con that they were already casting for Sabrina – and that the show will be on television in 2018.

According to SyFy, he said:

“It’s very much in the vein of the current comic.

“It’s a heck of a lot darker, more dramatic, and it has tons of action and adventure.

“We’ve started casting for Sabrina the character.

“You’ll be able to meet her soon.”
