The 1995 movie has got a makeover.
Starring Kevin Hart, Dwane Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Nick Jonas. Jumanji is back with a brand new stellar cast that is sure to keep you laughing for the entire film.
Using the same concept as the original. The film follows Alex (Jack Black) who through the use of the magical board game, guides the video game avatars of four teen protagonists through the world of Jumanji; where they each have three lives to use to beat the game and return to the real world.
Speaking to USA Today, Dwane Johnson said he always knew he wanted to be involved in a remake of the classic film and together with the cast, he went through various brainstorming meetings to reimagine the film, “that first meeting we had, I said, ‘lets have this gift of three lives. What are the most fun, awesome, crazy ways that we can die and audiences are going to love? And that just opened up a new level of creativity.”
In this reboot, all the characters are given special strengths and weakness which they combine together to fight to stay alive and beat the board. The film looks hilarious and a lot more action packed than its predecessor with a lot of changes. The trailer which dropped yesterday already has us in stitches (particular due to Kevin Hart’s character).
And although the first film will forever have a special place in our hearts, we are eagerly waiting to see how this remake compares.
The film hits Irish cinemas on December 20, 2017.
