An And Just Like That… spin-off documentary is coming soon

Katy Brennan

The Sex and the City content just keeps on coming.

The season finale of And Just Like That is right around the corner but it looks like it won’t be the last we’ll see of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte.

HBO Max has revealed that fans will get a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes making of the show in a new documentary, set to air alongside the final episode.

The steaming platform shared a sneak peak to Twitter earlier, alongside the caption “This season may be ending, but we’re not done yet.”

The documentary will feature sit down chats with the leading ladies – Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis – as well as several recurring cast members. It will also chat to some of the reboot’s newcomers, including Sara Ramirez (Che Diaz) and Sarita Choudhury (Seema Patel).

It will also feature interviews with the show’s director, Michael Patrick King, and showcase the team behind the glorious fashion – delving into how they create so many iconic looks.

Sarah Jessica Parker, can be seen in the trailer while on set, addressing the camera and saying: “Even 23 years in, I’m excited. Terrified, and excited.”

Briefly seen in the trailer is Willie Garson, who’s tragic death from pancreatic cancer last year will no doubt be addressed.

His character, Stanford Blanch, was written off the show with a last-minute move to Japan.

Whether or not Kim Cattrall’s absence will be addressed in the documentary remains to be seen. As we know, the actress declined to be part of the reboot and has no plans to return to any iterations of the show in the future.

The fact that the documentary has been branded as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “the first season” is giving fans hope we’ll get to see a season two soon.

Fingers crossed!
