It’s only been a hot second since Kissing Booth 2 landed on Netflix and the sequel has already been announced.
The last movie was released in July and it’s looking like the next one will be released around the same time this summer coming.
Joey King revealed the news to a very excited audience when she picked up her People’s Choice Award over the weekend.
Both films were filmed on location in South Africa at the same time, so the pandemic didn’t have much effect on their filming schedule as they managed to get two in the bag at once.
King recently said in an interview with Digital Spy: “The Kissing Booth 3 is… I mean, listen, we meet Elle with quite the dilemma at the end of The Kissing Booth 2. With The Kissing Booth 3, we pick back up with that dilemma, and it presents some pretty serious challenges throughout the third movie.”
One of the film’s stars Joel Courtney also opened up about the two latest films at a live YouTube event saying: “We filmed two and three at the exact same time.”
The other good news is that all your favourites from the last film will be back for the third instalment of the Netflix hit. This includes both Joey and Joel, Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Meganne Young and Molly Ringwald.
