Jade Hayden

Incredible news of a Thursday.

Les Misérables: the musical is set to return to Dublin next year for a limited run.

Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed Broadway production of Boublil and Schönberg’s musical will be returning to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from Tuesday 25 August to Saturday 12 September 2020.

Excited? You better be.

The UK and Ireland tour has sold out every venue since it first opened back in 2018.

The production, hailed as Les Mis for the 21st century, inspired the hugely successful movie version starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne.

The stunning new staging has scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo and has already thrilled audiences around the globe in places like Brazil, Mexico, North America, Australia, and Dubai.

Here’s some reviews from the UK and Ireland market, just incase you were off two minds about whether to bag yourself a ticket or not.

“This reborn dream of a production makes Boublil and Schönberg’s musical masterpiece look and sound fresher than ever – the singing and acting are sensational, the standing ovations inevitable. The Les Mis phenomenon has been passed on to a new generation.” – The Sunday Telegraph

“A five-star hit – astonishingly powerful.” – The Times

Les Miz is born again! A vibrant new design, almost cinematic in scale of one of the most enduring and beloved musicals of all time.” – Irish Examiner

“A production of awesome power and mind-blowing restaging.” – Irish Times

Basically, it’s an incredible show and you’d be a total fool to not want to go and see it.

Tickets for next year’s Dublin run of Les Mis go on sale tomorrow, Friday 13, on Ticketmaster at 9am.

Better set your alarm, tbh. These are bound to sell out.
