“Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons.”
Some breaking news in the music industry this evening as it’s been revealed that Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson is stepping away from the band for longer than expected.
A rep for the singer reportedly revealed that the singer is taking extended time away from the girls for “private medical reasons”.
Nelson was missing in action a few weeks ago when the girls hosted and performed at the EMAs, she also had to drop out of the final episode of their BBC1 show The Search.
Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock continued to perform and host both shows without their bandmate. The girls payed tribute to the 29 year old in their Instagram posts after they won at the EMAs.

Jade posted a pic with the caption: “Years ago we dreamed of even being invited to the @mtv EMAs. Tonight we hosted the show, performed and won 2 awards. The only thing missing was our Jesy.”
Perrie also posted a pic of the three of them and gave a shoutout to Jesy in her caption: “Thank you for EVERYTHING you do. We hosted, performed and won TWO AWARDS all thanks to you. Wish our girl Jesy coulda been there! Thanks @mtvema for having us! ”
Jesy’s news was announced by a spokesperson for the band who stated “Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons.”
They said they “will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time.”

We still do not know what health issues Jesy is dealing with but fans will be very sad to hear the news about her departure.
Before she missed out on their big night at the EMAs the spokesperson for the band said: “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix The Search. She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMAs.”
There were rumours circling earlier this week that Jesy had left the band when eagle eyed fans noticed that her signature did not appear on pre-signed albums posted to fans.
The rest of the ladies had signed but there was no signature from Jesy.
