Looks like the cast of ‘Stranger Things’ just landed themselves a serious pay rise

That is one serious penny.

Ka-ching.

Having fought off the Demogorgons, successfully escaped the Upside Down (more than once) and continue to live sort of normally in Hawkins, it is fair to say the cast of Stranger Things deserve all the money they can get.

Well, for that reason and also the fact that Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s biggest and most commercially successful series. There are very few people who now haven’t heard about Stranger Things or seen it on a t-shirt or hoodie, thanks to an equally successful merchandising venture with major brands like Topshop.

And now as we wait for series three, which lands in 2019, it has been revealed that the cast landed themselves one serious pay rise ahead of filming the third instalment.

So how much exactly are we talking?

Well…

Natalia Dyer, her beau Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery earned themselves $150,000 (€122,124) per episode for series three.

While the “kids”, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp earned themselves a sweet $250,000 (€203,000) per episode in series three. A major jump from their $20,000 (€16,200) per episode in season one and two.

Millie Bobby Brown, seen as the “star” of the show is rumoured, however it has not been confirmed, to be on a salary of $300,000 (€244,263) per episode.

And lastly, on the top pay tier for the series, Winona Ryder and David Harbour earn $350,000 (€284,942) per episode. Wow.

That is one serious penny, but if it means plenty more series to come of binge-watching Stranger Things, that is fine by us!
