This is the second time Ed is being sued over songs on his X album.

But it seems that some of his biggest songs are coming under fire lately for their resemblance to other hits. Ed is currently being sued over his chart-topping hit, Thinking Out Loud, The Huffington Post reports. He has been accused of ripping off Marvin Gaye's Lets Get It On. The family of Ed Townsend, the co-writer of Marvin Gaye's classic filed the lawsuit. The court papers claim that "the melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic compositions of ‘Thinking’ are substantially and/or strikingly similar to the drum composition of ‘Let’s" It's seems that the similarities have been spotted by lots of other people too, as the songs are constantly being used together in mash-ups and remixes.
