They might not be fighting over Archie anymore, but Riverdale BFFs Betty and Veronica are going to have a blowout when the show returns for season two.
The pair have been one for the staple relationships of the show (even with Bughead and Varchie) since the moment Veronica arrived at Riverdale High….almost.
But things aren’t going so smooth for the pals when Riverdale comes back for season two.

Lili Reinhart recently talked about how her character, Betty, will be going through some tough situations when the CW show comes back – which leads to tension with her pal Veronica.
She explained to Elle:
“They’re a really great female friendship.
“In season 2, you definitely see that continue. [But] with any friendship, there’s going be drama.
“The mystery of season 2 revolves around Betty and takes its toll on Betty and her mental health, and that kind of puts a strain on her and Veronica’s friendship.
“They get into a fight and it’s the first time you see them go head-to-head and just really have a genuine fight, which you didn’t exactly see past the first three episodes in season 1.”

But the 20 year old assured friends that it’s not all over for the crime solving BFF’s.
She added:
“The friendship is still there; they’re still a crime-fighting duo, which you see more of.
“I love having scenes with Cami [Mendes]. I know how much people love seeing Betty and Veronica together.”
