There’s nothing wrong with a bit of cheesy television – and Netflix agrees!

Virgin River is officially back for a second series – and it starts on Friday. Over time, the show has gained quite the following for its wholesome vibes. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a series about a small town in America with gorgeous actors and their great, big smiles.

If you want something that’s easy to watch, Virgin River is your answer. It’s also great watching for a hungover Saturday or Sunday. So mark it down in your calendars: November 27, it’s back!

Based off Robyn Carr’s novels, the series follow Melinda Monroe, a midwife who has just signed on to work in the tiny town of Virgin River.

The trailer gives you the vibe of the show – small town America, people falling in love by the beautiful surroundings of a stunning lake, and the odd egg and spoon race. It’s like The Gilmore Girls, but more current.

If you were into the first series you’ll be happy to hear that the second one kicks off exactly where we left off… and there is sure to be even more drama in this season ahead.

Some of the drama will include, engagements, babies, heartbreak and murder. Yep, this small town has lots of drama to keep its residents entertained, including Melinda who always finds herself right in the middle.

The cast includes Alexandra Breckenridge as Melinda, Martin Henderson as Jack her love interest, and West Wing star Tim Matheson.

The show returns this Friday, so if you haven’t seen any of it already then it’s definitely worth catching up before the release of the second series.
