Makes sense...

No way.

If you were looking forward to seeing your favourite Corrie stars strutting their stuff on Strictly Come Dancing, you better think again.

According to Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard, those who appear on the soap are banned from ever appearing on Strictly due to the fact that both shows belong to different channels – ITV and BBC.

Speaking on This Morning, the soap star told presenter Eamon Holmes that she couldn’t appear on the popular BBC show due to “all that malarky” between the two companies.

Callard, who plays Liz McDonald in the ITV soap, was wishing Ruth Langsford luck for the upcoming series of Strictly when the ban came to light.

She said: “I’m so jealous you’re doing Strictly, I will vote for you I promise”, before Langsford asked her if she would ever want to go on the entertainment show herself.

Callard replied: “They won’t let us. That’s the only reality show I would do.”

She then added that she would like a free ticket so she could “come and scream” for Langsford.

Callard was appearing on the morning show to talk about her battle with depression.

The Corrie star said that she had pushed herself too hard to please other people.
