The film is due for release in 2016.
A picture of Liam Neeson featuring in upcoming movie Silence has hit the internet this week and has caused quite a debate amongst fans.
The Taken actor plays one of the leading roles in the Martin Scorsese movie, which will debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
“[Scorsese] gives 200 per cent,” Neeson stated at the Los Cabos Film Festival, adding that he lost 20 pounds for the role.

“He’s intimidating. He requires absolute silence on the set – if he hears one tiy sound, it shatters it for him.”
According to reports, the film will track two Jesuit priests in the 17th century who face violence and persecution.
Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver join Neeson on the set, while a number of other high profile names including Daniel Day Lewis and Benicio del Toro had been linked with the movie in the past.
