Vernon Kay appears to be name dropping every celebrity on the planet on I’m A Celeb

Ah, Vernon.

No one likes a name dropper. Well, a few people might. But listen – I’m a Celeb viewers are not the few, they are the many.

And presenter Vernon Kay has shown viewers that he is, in fact, a name dropper – and it’s driving people mad.

When the show started on Sunday we were all swooning over the presenter, but after a few days later and some bad habits have come to the forefront. But hey, still love the guy.

Considering Kay has been a presenter for years and has met every star under the sun, name dropping is probably the only language he knows!

On last night’s show, Vernon opened up about meeting his favourite celebrity, Tom Hanks. “He was amazing, he was just the nicest fella,” he said.

“I interviewed him for The Polar Express but he was so nice and at the end I said I know this is really unprofessional, is there any chance you can sign this DVD cover of Forrest Gump for me,” he went on.

“And he’s like no problem, so he signed it to Vernon, good luck with the new gig, Tom Hanks.”

According to Vernon, he ran into Tom Hanks again on a press junket on Eurostar for The Da Vinci Code. “I’ll never forget it, I can see it now, Tom Hanks saw me and he just turned to Ron Howard and he went ‘Oh this is Vern, he’s alright he is’.

“I’m like, ‘He remembered my name!’ and he just turned around and said Vern, oh he’s a good guy!”
