Westlife say THIS is the reason why Brian McFadden isn’t included in the reunion

Last week, Westlife announced their first tour in seven years (and it includes three big Irish gigs).

They will be playing back-to-back nights at Belfast’s SSE Arena (May 25 and May 26), as well as a tour-ending gig at Dublin’s Croke Park on July 5.

With pre-sale going on sale this morning, a lot of happy fans secured tickets, with more hoping to get their hands on some when they go on sale to the public on Friday.

The lads didn’t include Brian McFadden in their reunion tour, and told Jenny Greene on RTÉ 2FM the reason why.

Nicky said: “We have no hard feelings against Brian. We were always going to take off again where we left it in 2012.

“Brian walked away, obviously in 2004 and people forget and it sometimes hurts us a little bit, when you see the headlines that Simon Cowell wanted Brian.

“And I’m sure it kind of hurts Brian as well,” Jenny interjected.

“Of course, because we never fell out with Brian and none of those things. But, we did nine-and-a-half years without him and we genuinely have no ill-feelings towards Brian and sometimes press and stuff, and all of these stories don’t help the relationship because there is no ill-feeling from either way.

“You see that from his tweet the other night and we genuinely wish him all the best. But we’re taking Westlife now, off from where we left it.”
