YES! The Circle season two has been given a start date – and it’s the end of this month

Prepare yourself for a wild, reality TV ride.

Last year, a little show called The Circle dropped itself onto Channel 4.

It was a reality TV programme, but not like one you’d ever seen before.

Rather than pretending to be themselves, contestants were encouraged to different versions of themselves – or different people entirely.

Each cast member was given an apartment to live in, and no connection to the outside world. The only people they’re permitted to talk to is the other people in The Circle via a specially designed social media app.

And, as you can probably guess, they have no way of knowing whether these people are real or not.

It was a great series, one that probably didn’t receive half as much praise as it should have – but hey, we’re getting a season two real soon so there’s always time for second shot.

The new series, dropping on September 24, will be hosted by none other than Emma Willis, who clearly needed some sort of new gig since Big Brother‘s cancelation.

And in fairness to her, this is a good ‘un.

Last year, player Alex emerged victorious after successfully tricking the majority of The Circle into believing that he was actually a woman named Kate.

The photos he was using were actually of his real life girlfriend, and although some of the contestants had their suspicions about his identity, he went on to become the most popular player and win the jackpot regardless.

This year, contestants are playing fora tasty £100,000 – and judging by the intense catfishing that went on last season, we can only presume that the stakes are going to be even higher this time round.

The Circle returns on September 24 on Channel 4.
