YES! The Greatest Showman is going to be on TV on Christmas Day

Fans of the movie will love this.

There’s no denying it, The Greatest Showman was one of the most talked about movies of the year.

The so-catchy-you-can’t-help-but-sing-along musical was originally released around Christmas 2017, before it went on to get nominated at the Oscars – and just became an all-around box office hit.

After its release in December, the movie made more than €1 million every week until March – and more than €430 million to date and held tough in box offices around the globe well into April and May.

And the songs were so catchy that the soundtrack stayed in the charts for pretty much all of 2018, even spawning a second album, The Greatest Showman: Reimagined, a kind-of remix album with some of our favourite singers.

Then, the Hugh Jackman-starring musical wound up back on the big screen again a few weeks ago, getting another release just in time for the holiday season.

Now, The Greatest Showman is making the movie to the telly – less than a year after it was released in Irish cinemas (December 26, 2017 FYI).

Yes, that’s right: it is time to get get ready to sing along, as The Greatest Showman is going to be on TV on Christmas Day.

Sky One will be screening the film on at 6.45pm on December 25, in that lovely post-Christmas dinner stage of the day, where you’re looking for something good to watch on TV.
