Louis Walsh has said there’s “too much singing” in The X Factor.
The Irish music manager is believed to have left the reality show after eleven years and in a new interview, he said that the popular Saturday night talent contest should move away from music if it wants to be a success.
“Singing shows are not what they used to be – they have too much singing in them,” he told BBC Radio One.
He added that he would have chosen Robbie Williams or Jon Bon Jovi as his replacement on the show and warned new judge Nick Grimshaw that one of the categories could put a abrupt end to his X Factor tenure.
“Nick, just be yourself. Don’t use any of my catchphrases. And do everything [Simon] Cowell tells you.”
“And hope you don’t get the groups because if you do you’ll be in trouble.”
