Looking for delicious veggie food? You have to try these healthy hash browns

Amy Nolan

I could honestly eat these seven days a week.

“But what do you eat?” is the number one question I get from people when they find out I’m veggie.

We’ve come a long way in recent years in terms of society’s attitude towards vegetarianism, with an increasing number of people choosing to eliminate or reduce their consumption of meat.

Documentaries such as Cowspiracy and What The Health are “vegucating” people on the value of eating more of a plant-based diet and people are really starting to take note.

Diet is so personal though, so you dzo you, is my opinion.

If you are looking to adopt a veggie lifestyle, nowadays you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to deciding what to eat.

I have never found myself without an option when eating out and when it comes to making lunches and dinners myself, you don’t have to stick to bland recipes or boring salads.

Lest we forget after all:

My all-time favourite, ridiculously tasty things to eat as a vegetarian are the some of the STRONG ROOTS products

From veggie burgers to sweet potato fries and bite-sized nibbles, they have it all.

They’ve added some amazing new products, including Cauliflower Hash Browns and Broccoli and Purple Carrot Bites and I can confirm that they’re delicious.

What’s cool about their stuff is that it taste a LOT nicer than you would imagine from the name. Kale and quinoa burgers don’t sound like the most appetising thing in the world, but believe me – don’t knock ’em till you try ’em.

Even the staunchest of meat eaters have admitted to liking these veggie products.

It’s almost a bit suspicious that healthy food tastes THAT good. It feels as if you’re cheating, but you’re really not.

What a time to be alive, lads.
