When it comes to ice cream, there’s a few flavours that have become the standard.
Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and usually some kind of caramely concoction will land on the menu.
We never, ever thought we’d hear of pickle flavour ice cream, though.
One restaurant has been winning rave reviews on social media for their newest flavour of soft serve ice cream.

The creative cooling treat is available at the Lucky Pickle Dumpling Co in New York City, at just $5 (€4).
The restaurant is owned by Jacob’s Pickles, a restaurant that dishes up elevated southern food – and sounds like they really, really like their pickles.

Their website explains:

Based off photos being shared on social media, the ice cream comes in a pal-green colour – and a very generous serving size.
Whatever our thoughts on the pickle soft serve ice cream, it looks like social media users are really digging what it tastes like.

Some people said it was “unexpectedly tasty” and “delicious” overall, while others didn’t seem entirely convinced about the whole idea.
