A Baileys chocolate Yule log.

While we're not quite ready to start chatting all things Christmas, festive-themed desserts will always appeal. We've just got wind that there's a special Baileys creation arriving very soon and it looks all kind of delicious. This rather amazing cake arrives in Tesco on November 11 and yeah, I absolutely plan on being one of the first to taste test this particular sweet treat. You might feel the same once you read the official description too, drool.

"A soft chocolate sponge, rolled with a chocolate flavour frosting and coated with milk chocolate, masked with a Baileys frosting and finished with bronze-lustered chocolate curls and a chocolate plaque".

So in a nutshell, it would appear that the Yule log includes several different ways to eat chocolate and yeah, YUM. Baileys frosting though, I might be most excited about that particular feature. The creamy drink is always viewed as a festive tipple although to be fair, it's the kind of thing that can be consumed all year round especially when featured on a dessert menu. It's inspired all kinds of sweet nibbles from Baileys cheesecake to this new chocolate creation and I for one cannot wait to try the Yule log. Something tells me I won't be able to wait until Christmas either and if the combination of Baileys and chocolate speaks to you too, pop the launch date in your diary now.
