It is the most important meal of the day after all.
There's no denying that a good healthy breakfast can set you up for the whole day, but if you're avoiding gluten sometimes it can seem like there isn't a whole pile of options out there.
Well, fear not because we have come up with a fab list of 5 gluten-free breakfast ideas that will help keep the hunger pangs away.
They all sound seriously tasty.
Omelette
It's hard to beat an omelette if you're looking for something seriously tasty and filling. Eggs are a great source of protein and will keep you fuller for longer. Throw in as many vegetables as possible to make sure you get your day off to a good start.
Acai smoothie bowl
Get your daily dose of fruit in one sitting with a gorgeous acai smoothie bowl. Use your favourite fruits and berries, coconut water and yoghurt to make the smoothie base. Next simply add granola and some seeds on top to give it a bit of a crunch. You definitely won't feel peckish until lunch time after polishing off one of these.
Peanut butter and banana on toast
Just because you're avoiding gluten does not mean that you can't have a nice slice of toast in the morning. There are lots of great gluten-free options out there. An oaty loaf that is great for breakfast because one slice contains just as many oats as a bowl of porridge. Opt for organic peanut butter and a nice ripe banana and you're on to a winner. We like to sprinkle cashews or chia seeds on top.
Banana pancakes
This recipe might sound a little bit gross but trust me they taste fab. All you need is two eggs and a ripe banana. Simply mash the banana, stir in the eggs and fry like a normal pancake. No gluten, no fuss and no time wasted.
Avocado smash with feta on toast
We're drooling just looking at this one and it is so easy to make too. All you have to do is mash one ripe avocado (season with salt and pepper). Toast a slice oaty loaf. Spread the mixture evenly and add feta cheese on top. So simple but so delicious.
