From August 3rd, as well as in IKEA stores across Ireland, the plant balls will also be available to purchase in Swedish food markets. It's all part of the companies plan to be climate positive by 2030.
Hege Sæbjørnsen, Country Sustainability Manager, IKEA UK and Ireland, says:

In order to reduce the climate footprint of the total IKEA business, including our food business, and make climate friendly, delicious food available for everyone, we are making sure meat alternatives are an easy, desireable and affordable choice. With the new plant ball we can now offer meat lovers a great tasting, more sustainable alternative – without compromising on the IKEA meatball experience that is loved by so many.”
The plant balls will be available for €1.75 from IKEA bistros and €3.25 from Swedish food markets on August 3rd.
