Supermarket Chain Lidl have been forced to recall a noodle product due to potential allergy risk.
The ingredient labels on Newgate Instant Noodles are not in English and therefore the batch may be a risk to consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of wheat (gluten) and soya or their constituents.
The two varieties that are being recalled are the curry flavour product, which contains wheat as an ingredient and may also contain soya and well as the chicken flavour product contains both wheat and soya as ingredients.
The exact products are of risk are Newgate Instant, Instant Noodles, Curry Flavour and Newgate Instant, Instant Noodles, Chicken Flavour; pack size: 108g; batch code: ZLJ16049; best before date: 12/02/2018 F2.
