"Knowing many of you continue to quietly put in long hours to keep things moving, no matter what life throws at us, we wanted to give the nation’s heroes a guaranteed reason to relax, reflect and enjoy some down time with their household every month."
And so they deserve. Frontline care workers have been busy protecting the community since the beginning of the pandemic, putting their own health and safety on the line to look after the vulnerable and sick in our communities.
Since March, countless initiatives and campaigns have been launched to give something back to nurses, care home workers, and HSE staff. It may be a small gesture, but a bit of pizza can go a long way.
It's also delicious, lest we forget.
