This is going to be a tasting sensation.
We think we may have a new favourite festival, gals. And the best thing about it? There is no camping or overnight stays required.
In fact, all you have to do is pop into one of the three pubs in Dublin where the festival will be taking up residence:
Bonobo in Smithfield,
Jam Park in Swords and
The Bernard Shaw on South Richmond Street.
The festival is named after the temperature at which Guinness roasts its barley (232°C) so you know this whole event is going to be hot. It will bring together the best Irish chefs to showcase their talent at grilling, smoking, and Barbequing. Here's the catch though - everything
has to be cooked over a live fire. It's going to look (and taste!) amazing.
Tickets are only €10 and are
available over on Eventbrite now. They include a pint of Guinness or non-alcoholic lager Pure Brew and
two dishes (such a bargain!). Plus you can always buy more dishes if they're just too good to pass up.
For three days each, the pubs will be taken over by different food and drink experiences, including those open flame cookers. Expect to see
Bia Rebel with their hand-made ramen,
Grálinn using the best local Irish ingredients, and
La Cocina Cuevas with their delicious Mexican dishes outside. They'll all be out of their restaurants and trying their hand at a one-off menu challenge where they have to create a dish using the very best Irish beef, chicken and pork.
There will be loads of smells and flavours wafting around to make your tummies start rumbling. Imagine smoky seafood seared on the pan, charred tamales, smoked ramen, and vegetables grilled and flame-kissed to perfection. The chefs will be working to expertly combine the smoky fire flavours with the natural food flavours so that they pair perfectly with a pint of Guinness draught. Divine.
Only the best food can be used here so seasonal ingredients will take centre stage and dishes will only use the very best quality produce from local Irish farms. Everything is going to taste superb.

It wouldn't be a festival without some great quality music to go with the food though, now would it? Reggae duo
Mercy & Pablo Santos will be adding their music to the mix, as will
Woweembeen and Dublin's own DJ
Sally Cinnamon (what a perfect name for the foodie festival). Other acts across the three festival weekends include

T-Woc,
Lex Woo, and
Hayley Disco Medusa.

19-21 September: Grálinn headlines at Bonobo
26-28 September: Bia Rebel headlines at Jam Park
3-5 October: La Cocina Cuevas headlines at The Bernard Shaw
